Hi Landry,I think it's a little bit more "complicated"than that. You're also creating the memory of that experience, and that is in turn an interpretation ofwhat seemingly happened "back then". This is all in the person or self that we think we are. This is all "doing".Being, on the other hand , is not just sitting around doing nothing, because that is still doing , in my opinion. The truth of what we are , or the absolute , or infinity , or the black hole , is something outside of experience, and at the same timewe're it. This creates a paradox. It's an amazing experience nevertheless!
I know it's pretty bold what I'm claiming Ruud, but I don't have any other words to describe it. When Bentinho used the term inner black hole, it resonated very deeply with me and brought back that memory, which is why i call it as such. I wasn't in a doing or being state at all. I was in a witnessing state if that makes any sense. I do agree with you that whether we're doing or being, it's all doing. And trust me, I wasn't doing or being. I simply snapped out of physical reality for a very quick moment. And being there freaked me out so much that I stepped back into reality real quick. That being said, it only happened once when I was 7. Never been there again and never even tried. I'm not necessarily passionate about going there. But I reckon that for anyone to go there, you have to have a light mind, aka you have to be free of most belief systems. I am not.
Landry, I tried to friend you and others but I can't or something. So I will tell you here. Since I read your post things have really come into my understanding and memory that I have been trying to understand for a long time. When someone has had this connection there is nothing but the absolute truth will suffice and you know it when you hear it. Let me say that I too experienced or saw the black hole when I was a child. I called it the faceless one that visited me. I remember it knew all the answers, everything. I asked it many questions and we spoke telepathically. I got it! I laughed and the faceless laughed with me. I really love this faceless black space so much. It has everything to do with why I am here, and who I am.It's isn't black like our black; maybe a gray/black, different. It is all that matters, it's the is in is, the tip top of top top that no words can say. I can't thank you enough for sharing what you have. Just the knowing that other children all over the planet are seeing the black hole, edge into complete space; how kind, loving, full, inclusively indescribable makes me love even deeper than I though imaginable before. Thank you.
Hi Landry & Deborah,I too had some "black hole experiences". I'll give you one: 1979, It's winter and I'm laying on the bed in a sleazy New York hotel room.Nevertheless it's warm and cozy, freezing outside. I'm on the verge of falling asleep and suddenly I notice this deeper darkness but I could callit a "lightness too because it was both, and neither.( I hope this doesn't make sense , because it shouldn't ! ) It was very welcoming andI felt myself merging with it , becoming one with it , being it. I realized that this must be death, but it was so totally different from how Ihad always imagined it to be, and immediately came the next realization: there is no death ! Death doesn't exist !Then there was this "voiceless voice"that said something like: "not yet, not now", and then this "darkness/lightness slowly faded andafter that I fell asleep. I was 23 at the time and travelling through the States with my girlfriend. I didn't tell her..The point I was trying to make earlier is to not jump to any conclusions about what something is , or isn'tThe mind is always looking for anything that can help to make sense of this fundamentally unknowable reality. This is survival-mode: should I stay or should I run. ( in your case : Deb stays, Landry runs. )When we allow ourselves to stay in a state of Not Knowing ( which is a sort of "black hole experience in itself ) and stayopen to whatever is happening or being said we stay open to other possibilities outside of our own field of knowledge. If I got what Bentinho said correctly, he was using the concept of the black hole as a metaphor, as an aid to what hewas trying to convey, he wasn't talking about an actual black hole, whatever that may be.My last point, Landry, I didn't say : whether we're being or doing it's all doing. What I was trying to say was,and I wasn't very clear : Being is what just is and doing is what we think it is.Have a great day you both, love communicating with you!
Love you too Ruud & Landry,
Thanks a bunches Adept Bros!
Thanks for the absolutely amazing stories. I love em! You realize of course you go there every time you enter deep sleep, past dreaming! LOL You couldn't make it on this planet without that whether you get it in rest or have it full on awake. It's the same thing Adepts. I hope you get it full on awake. The energy makes sleep unnecessary and time zip compared to what we are experiencing now. The energy is far beyond what we experience in our idea of excitement at this time. It is beautiful, easy and natural! I had it and I am going to get it back hopefully with thousands of others here too.
I have also had experiences of the Black Hole. The most direct experience of it came while doing a Tibetan practice where you learn how to be Aware in deep sleep. Because there is no content there is nothing to remember.Yet I would know on awakening I was the infinite eternal beyondness. Doing this practice confirmed in a very deep way that the nature of Truth is Emptiness.
There's a Dutch non-duality teacher, Jan van Delden , who explains this phenomenon using four stackedcheap plastic chairs. He calls this The First Cause, He then takes them one by one and places three of themnext to each other and one in the back. the three chairs represent the waking state, the dream stateand deep sleep. The fourth chair is the "place" from which all three states are witnessed and, of course, that chair is empty ! The whole universe, creation , infinity "explained" with just four cheap chairs , ain'tthat brilliant ? He calls it The Chair Dance. Off course there's a whole story that goes with it , but I like thesimplicity of this image.I think it is exactly the other way around Deborah : Emptiness "visits" or witnesses all three states instead of megoing somewhere , meaning "I" am there 24/7 so to speak , I cannot leave !Great you joined us Crystal !I just heard from Lisa that the next lessons ( 8-12 ) are still being edited, so we have to wait a little !
Thank you Ruud,"I think it is exactly the other way around Deborah : Emptiness "visits" or witnesses all three states instead of megoing somewhere , meaning "I" am there 24/7 so to speak , I cannot leave !"We maybe talking the same because words are not as valuable as experience. However, you say the fourth chair witnesses? I don’t think it is the witnesses/awareness although it knows all. It/ fourth chair/infinity created the Awareness/witness/free will; I am sure Bentinho confirms this in his lesson on the creation. When it makes itself obvious in awareness it’s a perfect mystery and if it had not, awareness/witness/free will would never know of it. It's only recently that so many have experienced it on the level we have. It wants us to be aware of it, reflect it, see itself!
Furthermore, yea, you may not be able to leave it, as you are it but you certainly did forget it and do not have an experience or relationship with it like your dog or child, yet!You know what I mean? The cool thing I got from Landry's post is the children are seeing/ experiencing it, maybe even more today than ever before. Yahoo! There will be more resources for the children to grasp than when we were young.
Hi Deborah,no doubt we're talking the same , I just have this thing with words , not that I take them literally , but more as definitions of experience.Jan doesn't make all the distinctions Bentinho makes , but it's all there nevertheless : You could see the four stacked chairs asinfinity , the unmanifested . From this everything else unfolds ,so to speak.Jan also wrote a book about Odysseus' travels. The title is "Back from never having left". He uses this great epic as a metapor forthe spiritual journey, with all of its pitfalls. Too bad it isn't available in English translation. When you write : "When it makes itself obvious.....reflect it, see itself " you realize "it" is you , right ? I never left and also didn'tforget. I'm only pretending to have forgotten : I'm playing a cosmic game of hide and seek with myself ! So I don't care any moreto be deluded or not ! There's nothing to fear and nothing can ever be lost !love, Ruud
Ruud, I love that! So amazing. So righteously sweet! Of course and I love the authors too. How terrific that you could read another language. Nice!I'd friend ya but I am an inept Adept making friends here. I can't figure out why it doesn't work for me. LOL If I could I would tell you the next lessons are going to worth a big celebration. Get out our party hats. I will bake a cake. Have you got to the loop lesson yet? Are you excited for everyone here and yourself? This is such a kick. I'm walking on the moon looking for echoes for how amazing it is to be here in this creation! I love you too Ruud.
Deborah I have just finished the loop lesson! Awesome. I am resonating with this whole set of lessons on Infinity. It is so helpful the way Bentinho leads us step by step - magnificent teaching!
Our conversation is so very sweet. Can't thank you enough for being here. I do enjoy your interpretation and clarity with words especially now. The coolest thing about the topic, "it/black hole", is you and I are going to experience it full on in comparison to experiencing it only when we put our attention on it or it draws, visits (however, we interpret or define our experiences). Yea, it is there always but we don’t live out our experience aware from there yet but we will. That is what I am so excited about. I never guessed I would be with others during the grandest growth ever. See you more in lesson "Ignore Everything". Whoo hoo, gotta love it! Crazy Fun! Just a little happy, here!
Hi Deborah, I wrote the last post after watching lesson 8,9 & 10 in one go, and it was truly amazing , having done "excercises" like these beforebut this time.......( just no words...)
Ouaaah. I just read your replies. Sorry but I always get late notices from this site. First of all , thank you for sharing your stories. It's always very lonely until you meet others who can relate to what you're saying, so sincerely thank you. I have to say that unlike most of you, I have not been able to repeat that one time experience. My grasp onto physical reality is too strong and frankly I like to play with belief systems better than I like to play with nothingness
Landry - Great story about the black hole. I know you don't necessarily want to experience that again and that's totally fine, just wanted to add on that as you have the belief that you are now "not light enough" to go there again, this is what you are creating. So if you were to stop holding onto the belief that you now have too many beliefs (or in fact whatever else you come up with) - then you certainly could. You're just manifesting the "can't" right now. Like I said it's fine just wanted to add that ;)
I have not had any black hole experiences, but I find it fascinating. I have, and I always can, step out of the bubble, and become emptiness, or sense emptiness, and emptiness kind of feels like "not creating" anything, just being - not sure that this is true but it feels like that to me. FWIW
Hi I have just joined the academy, although i have listened or watched everything that Bentinho has put on line.I also had a weird experience 3 years ago which could be called a black hole. I had never heard of anyone else describing a similar experience until Bentinho mentioned it in one of his You tube videos. All i can say about the experience was the nothingness , just black. I had absolutely no reference point to anything. I next began to feel (as at the same time began to panic) an overwhelming loneliness or desolation so profound i can't really begin to describe it. As i tried to grapple with what was happening i then felt there was only me it was me ,i was it there is nothing else. At the time it greatly shocked me i couldn't understand what had occurred so i panicked in my mind to grasp anything at all ,then the wonderful 3D reality fell back into my awareness slowly like pixels making up a picture and i then felt such love. So thank you so very much Betinho when you shared your experience as it helped so much for me to understand my own
Wow! I'm not yet with the Infinity-Course (started 2 months ago) but this topic 'black hole' is very attractive to me!
Actually it fits so, so well in my favorite theme which is exploring a way to escape the circle of reincarnations ..... I know that sounds very funny or strange. Nevertheless I used my emotional guidance system to check if I am too far out.
I empower myself to experience the black hole before I can open this lesson. :-)
I'm wondering to those of you who share " you experienced the black hole" i'm trying to understand...
How can you experience something - without the presence of awareness.
because if you say I experienced something - it would have to be known by you - right? so that is also awarenss isn't?
so a true black hole - would not remember it self - i'm just guessing here - because if it is being experienced it would be like deep sleep - which is still being known by me the awareness.
never the less - when I do the exercises bentinoo talks about - poping the awarenss bubble - my consciousness has a feel/intution of something beyond it self
Hi, guys-Right on Rudd!
For the longest time , I had one question of priority. How do I recapture, the rapture and vastness, supreme intelligence, I experienced directly years ago, continuous for a 3 month period.( asked of a western adept, and his response)."If you were walking around downtown L.A. on a hot sunny day, and you had a half eaten chocolate bar, fall out and land on the sidewalk, unbeknownst to you at the time...And you remembered this two weeks later, would you go back and search for that chocolate bar?"Obviously, something changed/shifted my interest, and I responded with an unequivocal no.
Obviously,or not so obviously, all "spiritual experiences ",whether they be black holes or white holes, come and go,an important lesson for sure.Yet, after playing this game, of looking and finding, looking and finding etc. for fifty years,my wisdom informs me that only those seekers that arrive at the identity of being a finder, can authentically, stand at the end,so to speak, with true and great conviction, having discovered their true nature...At least this is what I realize. And of course, everyone, please continue, to have profound, and really, terrifying ,fun, adventurous experiences, until they don't hold meaning, offer insight, and if they do, you won't even care.
Love&Light, to all ,don't mean to rain on anyone's parade.
